OUR GOALAt Amherst Dance Academy, our goal is to provide dance education, miscellaneous dancewear, and personal growth opportunities at a competitive and affordable price. We take pride in being able to offer our dancers more than what they would find at other studios. We also take very seriously the environment and education your dancer receives. Our goal is to provide a challenging, positive, and fun environment that is influential in the lives of our dancers as we teach and build in your dancer proper dance technique, respect, discipline, and self-esteem. We believe even difficult things can be achieved when the bar is set high and and the door of opportunity is left wide open for the dancer to walk through it.

MISSION STATEMENT The dance team is solely for those dancers that want to push themselves to a higher level in dance that is made available through extra performances and competitions in a challenging and fun environment. Dancers will represent Amherst Dance Academy as they perform at many public events locally and compete at events out of state. The goal is to provide the opportunity, the education, and the training, to enable dancers to take their talents to this performance level and beyond. We strive to instill in our students a love for dance that is birthed from a professional, challenging, and fun environment right in our studio.

CHARACTER AND CONDUCT
It is vital that every dancer on this team thinks not of him/herself first, but of the team first. For this opportunity to flourish and produce professional dancers after they graduate, selfish ambitions, pride, and jealousy must not be in a dancer’s character.. A team dancer must strive for excellence in all areas in his/her life, because once on team, your dancer is a role model to the community. Those areas include and are not limited to personal family relationships, school, attendance and performance at TTDS functions, performance at a job, and personal attitude and work ethic when dance is not in session.

TEAM FAMILY Performing on team is an incredible opportunity for a dancer, but it is also a very large sacrifice and commitment for the dancer’s family. Your encouragement, support, service, and assistance throughout the year will play a crucial role in your dancer’s life, which will ultimately influence the team as a whole to experience the best year of dance they have ever had. The team itself is like one big family. We want to encourage you to be present as much as possible at the team meetings, performances, and competitions. _______________________________________________________________
